ESTOS is in a position to offer standard software components and expertise for migrating existing telecommunications
system infrastructure through to a modern, future-proof Unified Communications solution based on the Microsoft Office
Communications Server. The following solution components represent the best technology available for this scenario and
can also be deployed in combination with classic ESTOS products.
With the
ESTOS CallControlGateway as middleware, all TAPI-capable phone systems can be simply and cheaply
integrated with the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS) and the Microsoft Office Communicator
(OC) Client. Supported functions include dialling, call control, call diversion and the signalling of incoming calls , as
well as the reproduction of presence states such as "engaged – in conversation" to the Communicator Client.
The middleware can also be integrated with the Office Communications Server via TLS, a certificate-based and thus
secure IP transport protocol.
These
"useful little helpers" round off the Communicator Client’s computer telephony functions with important
convenience functions: the ESTOS PhoneTools for Communicator offer hotkey dialling from Windows-based applications
and a simple TAPI driver for integration with MS TAPI-based CRM and ERP systems.
The
ESTOS MetaDirectory search portal can be integrated into the Microsoft Office Communicator as a so-called tab. This
extends the possible search basis by all contact data sources connected to the MetaDirectory. This means that in
addition to Active Directory, Windows Address Book or personal Outlook contacts, other company-relevant contact
data sources can also be used in the Communicator. A special highlight is the resulting possibility of integrating
contact data from CRM and ERP systems.
