A turbulent 2020 is drawing to a close, a year that will go down in history. Sudden lockdown and working from home – what seemed unthinkable for many in January has now become routine in December 2020.
Let's take a little look back – with a revised assumption: Imagine that we are digitally in the year 1990. There are no smartphones yet, the first cell phone on the German market is still in development status. Computers and the internet in private households are dreams of the future that hardly anyone is thinking about.
Then a lockdown, schools and a large proportion of workplaces are closed, people are told to stay at home and, if possible, not to socialize. How do we cope with our everyday working lives without smartphones, PCs, the internet, online meeting platforms and all other digital companions? No virtual meetings with friends, no streaming services for entertainment, no video calls with parents and grandparents, no funny pictures via messaging services, no online orders... the list is long!
All estos partners have achieved great things in 2020: With a lot of experience and great know-how, they have ensured that company employees can go about their business from home. They have created the basis for secure and flexible corporate communication, networked employees and ensured accessibility for their customers. To manage this, numerous estos partners have attended our online training courses, participated in our webinars and qualified for the new estos Partner Program.
