New generation of CTI middleware now released for even more PBX systems and SIP phones

estos releases the latest generation of its ECSTA series: Not only has the software manufacturer from Starnberg improved the performance and optimized the administration interface, but Version 5 also supports more PBX’s and SIP devices as well as the latest versions of Microsoft’s operating systems. The ECSTA series from estos is a specialized CTI middleware that enables communication between telephone systems and the Microsoft Windows IT world. It combines, for example, the Unified Communications & CTI software suite ProCall Enterprise with whatever respective telecommunication system is in use.

In the latest generation of the ECSTA series, the lines can be read more quickly. "This is especially beneficial for large installations," explains David Welzmiller, Deputy Head of Product Management at estos. "This allows the software to be configured faster." In addition, administration is made easier with a clearer interface. For example, the administrator can identify the status of a TAPI line directly in the driver and reset it if necessary. Furthermore, future sustainability is ensured with the support of the latest Microsoft Windows operating systems, such as Windows Server 2016. With an eye on the future, even more SIP telephones can be connected now, as used in IP-Centrex scenarios: Now the user can control Auerswald and Yealink SIP telephones with their PC too.

Basically, the ECSTA series from estos connects telephone systems to the IT world. Almost all well-known manufacturers are supported, such as: Unify, Alcatel-Lucent, Mitel, Avaya, Panasonic, Deutsche Telekom and Cisco. ECSTA series software modules emphasise the multi-site/multi-vendor strategy of estos, which aims to combine telecommunication systems from different CTI manufacturers that are distributed over various locations, thus integrating communication functions into the IT application world via a uniform interface. This reduces the cost of migration for existing telephone systems to a modern Unified Communications solution. The CTI middleware from Starnberg is characterized by outstanding stability, particularly easy installation and configuration as well as trouble-free maintenance.
