estos optimizes security and expands cloud PBX diversity
Higher security and an expanded variety of possible cloud PBXs: From now on, ProCall 7 Enterprise users will benefit from the optimizations provided by Service Release 2. estos has also further increased the quality of softphone calls and once again simplified SIP configuration. Basically, the ProCall Enterprise UCC software suite enables companies to improve communication and collaboration internally and externally. More effective employees and more satisfied customers are the result.
Greater security is provided by estos with additional protocols for encryption: If telephone systems, which are used to set up the softphone functionality, are connected via the internet, SIPS/SRTP can be activated. The manufacturer has added three new cloud PBXs to the variety that can be used to connect softphones: bis.cloud from bis.itk, Universe Cloud Connect from C+ITEC, and MK-Centrex from MK Netzdienste have been successfully tested.
"Service Release 2 has even more advantages to offer," says Bernd Kattner, Product Manager at estos. "For example, if users make calls via softphone, they can now hear each other quicker after the call has been accepted." The softphone connection supports Early Media, ensuring a faster connection. If users switch between the LTE network and WLAN during a call, the connection now remains more stable.
The encryption of the control connection between UCServer and Media Server is now also more time-saving and convenient: This can now be configured via the UCServer administration. In the UCServer Administration area, estos has also optimized support for users: Names can now be transmitted here instead of phone numbers. The new import function for SIP lines also simplifies SIP configuration.
