ESTOS and QuesCom deliver Unified Communications with mobile integration

Combined solution introduced by ESTOS and QuesCom offers full SMS functionality

Starnberg, 15th of July 2010 – ESTOS, an independent software vendor of Unified Communications, and QuesCom, a leading French manufacturer of FMC solutions, recently announced the availability of SMS functionality for the

ESTOS ProCall Enterprise

Unified Communications platform. The combined solution makes it possible to send text messages (SMS) to any mobile device from the ProCall client. The companies developed a common interface to provide this functionality. The new solution can be purchased through the established channels of both companies.

The ESTOS ProCall Enterprise Unified Communications solution allows all conventional CTI functionalities as well as numerous innovative services such as Presence Management, Office Integration and Instant Messaging. It now also enables the integration of mobile devices. In order to meet the communications needs of medium-sized organizations, the new functionality enables users to send text messages from the ESTOS software ProCall Enterprise client to mobile devices such as mobile phones and smart phones. To ensure a smooth workflow, the mobile phone number is automatically provided by the ProCall user profile so that a response SMS can be sent directly to the mobile device of the original sender. The phone number can also optionally be restricted or another line can be chosen.

In addition to SMS transmission, the QuesCom gateway also delivers value-added services such as One Number for voice and fax. This solutions allows employees to be reached at any time and have a personal fax number, accessible by e-mail wherever they are.

“In most cases, Unified Communications and mobility solutions are considered as distinct components. The combined solution that we’ve created in our partnership with ESTOS is a major step toward convergence. So-called best-of-breed solutions – like ours – are developed through the integration of open and established systems and generate significant added value. This enables the full potential of a ”true” Unified Communications solution,” says Robert Urban, VP Sales at QuesCom.   The ESTOS portfolio can be deployed with the latest 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft operating systems: Microsoft Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. Further information about ESTOS Unified Communications solutions and a 45-day trial version (free of charge and without registration) can be downloaded at www.estos.de.
